Walking the Walk
The eighth grade religion classes recently took a walk that got them nowhere. Actually, the students trekked to Regner Park to use the Labyrinth Walk located in the park. Unlike a maze, a labyrinth is a continuous path which winds its way to a centerpoint. The purpose of the walk is to provide peaceful solitude along a “journey”. The origins of a labyrinth go back to at least the Middle Ages.
The students had the opportunity to use the walk as a source for quiet and meditative reflection as they thought about their own life “journey”.
