Volleyball Classic Spotlights Local Talent

This year’s Holy Angels Volleyball Classic included a seventh grade championship match filling the packed gym with excitement as Holy Angels and Cabrini faced off in the finale. The host team took the opening game, but dropped the second to force a deciding third game. Long rallies were the norm as the teams battled to a 16-14 win for the visitors.

Final Standings for 7th Grade:

1st – St. Frances Cabrini,
2nd – Holy Angels,
3rd – Queen of Apostles,
4th – St. Joseph,
5th – St. Francis Borgia – White,
6th – St. Francis Borgia – Blue.

The Holy Angels 8th grade team won their first match of the Classic, but missed a chance to make the finals by dropping their second match. The Royals easily handled St. Francis Borgia-Blue to claim third place honors.
