Theme for 2013-14 School Year

The theme for the 2013-14 school year is “Angels to Others…Called to Serve”.

Our inspiration comes from Matthew’s Gospel: “If one of you wants to be great, you must be the servant of the rest…like the Son of Man, who did not come to be served, but to serve.”

Many people have referred to Holy Angels as a “great school” because of the quality of the academic program, faith formation and values which are taught. However, it is service to others which defines a person and a school. During the school year, the students and staff will focus on our call to serve others.

Our Student Mission states: “We belong to a Catholic community which gathers together to proclaim the Gospel, serve others and praise God. With the help of parents, teachers and others, we are here to grow in faith, knowledge, values and respect.”

We serve others in our school is simple everyday actions which support each member of our school community.  We serve our parish community by taking an active role in parish ministries.  We serve our neighbors by helping others in need and providing support for those who are lonely or suffering.  We serve the world by becoming good stewards of God’s creation.
