The Tradition Continues

Generations of Holy Angels families warmly recall the annual celebration of Valentine’s Day which is held somewhere around February 14th (usually on a Friday since it takes a weekend to recover!). This year’s Valentine’s Party offered many of the usual classroom-sponsored booths such as Ring-a-Can-of-Pop (or “soda” for most native Wisconsinites), Sweet Treats, Fish Pond, the ever-popular Cake Walk, and Bingo.

There were also some more recent additions such as the Bubble Bounce and Rapid Fire Basketball. Mrs. Jurss’ second grade class offered a Treasure Hunt (to fit this year’s school theme) and kids could dig for buried treasure near a shipwreck. This year’s Raffle was so-o-o-o big that it took two rooms to give out all of the prizes.

The Student Council will be discussing the suggested recipients for this year’s proceeds. Holy Angels School has a long-standing tradition of supporting missions and other outreach projects trough the Valentine Party.
