Teachers Get Smarter

The summer months provided Holy Angels teachers with an opportunity to get “smarter”.  Holy Angels was the site for two SMARTBoard courses for area educators. An introductory course and an advanced course provided teachers with new ideas for utilizing this technology as a tool for multimedia instruction.  The interactive nature of SMARTBoards provides teachers (and students) with an amazing variety of possibilities for accessing and presenting instructional models.  During the past year at Holy Angels, students thoroughly enjoyed using the interactive technology throughout their school day.  For the 09-10 school year, all regular classrooms are equipped with SMARTBoards.  The technology equipment has been funded by the Stehling Project.  Teacher training has been provided by grants and a partnership with the Sally Ride Academy.
