Students Gather for Seder Meal

The Commemoration of the Passover has become a bi-annual tradition at Holy Angels. The special prayer service during Holy Week involves meal preparation by teachers and students alike as many hands prepare place settings. The Seder Meal combines elements of a traditional Haggadah and reflections on Jesus’ passion and death (and the connection between the two events). In the ritual, students partake of various food items which recall the experience of the Hebrew people in Egypt and their release from slavery. The rite also reminds students of the transition from a slavery to sin to the freedom of salvation.
