Science Grant For Equipment

Holy Angels School in West Bend recently received a grant as part of the ExxonMobil Education Alliance Program. Holy Angels parent Scott Sadownikow is a representative ExxonMobil and is shown presenting a check for $750 to Holy Angels junior high science teacher Barb Gunnare in the school’s Science Lab. The grant will help to provide additional science equipment for the Science Department including triple beam balances. Holy Angels is currently in the process of revising the science curriculum and is planning to incorporate the Project Lead the Way at the junior high level.

A recent science unit necessitated the skill of dissection as part of hands-on learning. Sixth grader David Rosene can be seen closely examining a cow’s eye. By studying real specimens, students can gain first hand knowledge about structures in animals and the human body.
