Saints Alive at HAS

The Feast of All Saints (November 1st) is an opportunity to recall our heroes in faith.  They provide role models for today’s faithful in many areas of life.

The fourth grade students each chose a saint to study and to learn about their living out of their faith in their time and place. The saints who were chosen included a wide variety from the early Church to our most recently declared saints.

The students wrote short biographies of their saint and provided a visual image by creating a costume which they wore in procession at the all-school Mass.  Following Mass, the fourth graders created a Hall of Saints in the Cedar Room.  Guests could approach each saint, touch the saint’s symbol, and listen to the story of the saint’s life.

Parish members also had the chance to chat with the “saints” after the 11:00am Mass on Sunday.
