Optimist Student of the Month

Holy Angels eighth grader Lexie Uselding was recently honored by the West Bend Optimist Club as their Student of the Month. Club president Greg Harding presented the award at a recent luncheon.

Lexie is active in the community participating in 4H Club where she acts as historian and a “Wild Wacky Weekdays” counselor as well as a member of the 4H Saddle Club. She is involved in clean up at the Washington County Fairgrounds, has participated in Christmas caroling at the Samaritan Home and plays club volleyball.

At Holy Angels, Lexie serves as Student Council treasurer, safety patrol, and is a member of the HAS-HOPE Service Club. She is on the yearbook staff, a member of FAD (Fine Arts Design) Club and plays with the bell choir. She was also a proud member of the Holy Angels girls’ volleyball team. Lexie is an honor roll student and was selected this year to participate in an advanced English class program.

According to her teachers, Lexie has a cheerful and positive personality and is both a leader and a team player. She offers help freely and can be counted on to eagerly carry out whatever task she is given. Lexie is seen as a genuine individual and a model student.
