One Million Collection Goes to Charity

With aluminum prices soaring, it was a golden opportunity for the Ronald McDonald House in Milwaukee to cash in on the Holy Angels School soda tab collection. It took over ten years, but the students in Linda Doll’s classes finally made it to one million tabs!  Lynda Kohler, president of the Ronald McDonald House, came to Holy Angels to pick up the one million tabs and to personally thank the students for their efforts.  The tabs were donated by school families, parish members, the maintenance staff and teachers from the faculty room.  Students from many successive classes had counted and packaged the tabs which were safely kept in storage until just the right time. Kohler estimated that the donation would be worth about $1000 to the charity.
