Mosaic Nears Completion

This year’s Artist in Residence program is coming to a close as students begin putting final touches on the mosaic mural. ┬áThe last pieces of glass have been chosen by color and are being glued to the main mural. The boarder murals have already been completed.

In the next two weeks, small groups of students will complete the gluing of pieces and begin the final grouting process on the main mural. The finished piece will be unveiled at the Fine Arts Evening on March 19th. It will then be mounted in the lobby stairwell.

The Artist in Residence program is supported by funding from the Stehling Project. This year’s artist is Kerry Tharp and she has been assisted by art teacher Cheryl Hofschulte and HA alum Diane (Klumb) Carlson.
