Where children grow in faith, knowledge, values, and respect.
When students reach middle school (6th through 8th grade), they have a different teacher for every subject and change classes throughout the day. They are anchored by a homeroom which meets at the beginning and the end of the day and also before lunch to pray. General information and communication to parents happens through homeroom. Middle Schoolers are paired with an elementary class as "big buddies" and little buddy/big buddy activities are scheduled throughout the year giving them a chance to be leaders and role models to younger students. Middle Schoolers are also offered the chance to develop leadership skills by participating in student council, patrols and as Mass servers. Core classes meet every day including Math, English Language Arts, Social Studies and Science. Students also have Religion classes throughout the week as well as specials like Health, Art, Music, Spanish, and Physical Education. The middle school teachers share a common discipline and reward system. Throughout the year, there are reward activities and other events such as Winterfest - an afterschool party in early December. Middle school students attend and participate in Mass weekly and experience a number of spiritual retreat days throughout the year.
