Middle Ages Come Alive
The sixth graders completed their study of the time between ancient times and modern times…in other words, the Middle Ages…with a Medieval Faire.
The students explained various aspects of life in the days of feudalism to the guests which includes parents, students and others throughout the morning of May 21, 1187.
Several booths in the “town” provided treats from a butcher shop, taffy store (?), wine and spirits shop, calligraphy studio, and more. A Maypole Dance and several period music selections completed the effect. The annual event was coordinated by social studies teacher Katie Schoenwetter.
