Holy Angels PLTW Garners Award

Holy Angels School was honored by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction for excellence in technology and engineering. The Education Leadership Award was presented to science teacher Barb Gunnare at the Wisconsin Project Lead the Way meeting on December 2nd.

The award recognizes Holy Angels “for implementing a rigorous engineering curriculum and providing the support and environment necessary to achieve excellence in education.”

Gunnare shares the award with Holy Angels principal Mike Sternig. The PLTW program at Holy Angels involves all students in grades six through eight. Funding for the program has been provided by the Kern Family Foundation, the Stehling Project, and the ExxonMobil Education Alliance.
