HA Classic – Second Round

The Holy Angels Royals reached the championship game in the 36th annual Holy Angels Basketball Classic with a second round win over Good Shepherd. The host team used balanced scoring to take a 20-14 lead into the locker room.  The teams exchanges baskets through the second half resulting in a final margin of 38-32. Seven players tallied for the Royals, led by Joe Michels and Ethan Wedemayer with 8 each.

The Royals will face Badger-Red which claimed a spot in the finals with a victory over Silverbrook, 33-30. The Badgers were led by Nathan Block, Michael Wallace and Ben Seaman with 8 points each. Evan Albrecht led the Vikings with 18.

In other action, Kyle Yockem’s 12 points helped Badger-White beat St. Kilian, 38-29. Sam Kohler tallied 10 points for the Cougars. St. Agnes edged St. John 35-33 in overtime. Ryan Filo’s game-high 22 points included a basket in the overtime for St. Agnes. John Baumann and Caleb Knoll combined for 16 points for the Eagles.
