H.O.P.E Club in Action

The newly formed Holy Angels H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People and the Environment) Club was busy during the summer months. Club members are involved with planning and participating in monthly service activities outside of school. The success of this year’s Festival of Angels was aided by the efforts of club members who helped in booths and in the set-up and clean-up process at this year’s parish festival. Many club members helped out at the Riveredge Nature Center near Newburg. They provided the people-power needed for the nature center to hold one of its summer events.

Finally, the H.O.P.E. Club formed a team for the West Bend Relay for Life. Along with other schools and other parishes, the team contributed an inspiring presence at this year’s relay. They also raised almost $4000 in pledges. A special “lap” recognized the efforts and support of the students from four West Bend schools. The H.O.P.E. Club included two honorary members on the Relay for Life team…teachers (and cancer survivors) Mary Cay Muckerheide Schmidt and Linda Sternig.
