Forensics Team at State

The season has come to an end for the Holy Angels Forensics Team and many qualified for the Middle Level Forensics Association State Tournament on Saturday, March 24 at West Bend High Schools. The Holy Angels team competed with nearly 1400 middle schoolers from 90 schools from around the state.

Eight graders qualifying for State were: Greta Zier and Brooke Deppert in group acting; Ericka Beistle and Kira Guse in group acting; Lydia Bollen, Leah Nagel, Leah Rosene, and Hannah Schroeder in group acting; Isabelle Sternig and Avelina Wolfe in news reporting; Joe Held, Alex Gonzalez, and Daniel Krause in news reporting; and Ricky Conlin in infomercial.  Seventh grade qualifiers included: Allie Glazcz, Estella Lambie, and Matt Zier in group interpretation; Delanie Heinen, Macey Steier, and Olivia Walker in group interpretation; Fiona Shaw and Amber Georgenson in group interpretation; Caroline Peplinski in poetry; Ellie Eckert in prose; Aislinn Carey in prose; and Natalie Daute in prose. Sixth graders were Bryce Barnett and Tyler Sternig in news reporting.

Two groups, Lydia, Leah, Leah and Hannah, and Delanie, Macey and Olivia, qualified for the Power Round at State and earned Power Round medals.

The team would like to thank Mrs. Held, Mrs. Schroeder, and Mrs. Krause for judging at State and Mrs. Eckert and Mrs. Carey for being our parent contacts in the field house.
