Earth Day Focus

The environment and good stewardship of the world’s resources is focus at least once a year during Earth Week activities. The sixth and eighth grade science classes watched the documentary An Inconvenient Truth and discussed the facts and opinions expressed concerning changes in the environment and the so-called global warming effect.

Marty Thompson of the Pineview Nature Rehabilitation Center taught students about the effects of human contact with wild animals. Students saw several animals affected by disregard for the balance of nature and a respect for wildlife.
