D.A.R.E Graduation

The fifth grade students completed the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program recently with a graduation ceremony.  Detective Hope Demler reviewed the contents of the program but the greatest insights were provided by the students.  Several were chosen to share their “letter to self” which they will read at some point in the future to remind them of what they learned and their commitment to living a drug-free lifestyle.

Guests included the mayor of West Bend, Washington County sheriff, and an assistant District Attorney who led the graduates in the DARE Pledge.

Following the ceremony, students enjoyed food and refreshments as well as signing each other’s DARE shirts.
