Buddies Spend Day at Museum

The Big and Little Buddies recently enjoyed a day together at the Milwaukee Public Museum. The day began with the IMAX presentation of “Star Light, Star Bright”. The students learned about many aspects of the solar system and the multitude of galaxies beyond the reach of human vision. The movie tied in to our theme this year: “You are the Light of the World…Shine!”

Following the movie, groups of Big and Little Buddies explored the many exhibits of the museum. Favorite spots included the Streets of Old Milwaukee and the European Village. Buddies also had a chance to enjoy having butterflies land of them in the butterfly exhibit. A few students mentioned the polar exhibit at an interesting area, while others enjoyed the Native American dioramas.

Each year the Big and Little Buddies go on one big adventure. They also get together throughout the year for a variety of activities.

We are grateful for the following bus sponsors who helped to make the trip possible: Ruby and Dick Stommel, Tennies Hardware, Peter and Susan German, Esther Gerner, Shaun and Christy Carey, and an anonymous donor.
