Area Teachers Gather

More than 125 teachers and administrators of Catholic schools in Washington and Dodge counties recently gathered at Holy Angels School in West Bend for the annual Catholic teachers’ convention. The administrators of the schools, known at the Luman Alliance, sponsor the event in West Bend which alternates with the Archdiocesan event held in Milwaukee. This year’s speaker was Dan Scholz, chairperson of the Religious Studies Department at Stritch University. Dr. Scholz shared insights about “Jesus in the Gospels and Acts”.

Part of the day was also spent in classroom workshops. Teachers gathered by grade levels and specialty areas for an introduction to SMARTBoard technology. Holy Angels teachers utilize SMARTBoards in all of the classrooms thanks to past funding by the Stehling Project and provided an introduction for those who were not familiar with the technology.
