All-HA Classic Finals

The 8th annual Holy Angels Volleyball Classic featured two all-Holy Angels finales on Saturday. The championship matches took on the feel of the traditional West Bend East vs. West matchups as Holy Angels-White met Holy Angels-Blue for the title in both the seventh and eighth grade brackets.

At the seventh grade level, Holy Angels-White edged Holy Angels-Blue 25-20 in the first game. Blue came back with a 25-19 tally in the second to set up the decisive third game. Tied at 18-18, HA-White slowly moved ahead to capture the title with a 25-22 win. In other seventh grade final round action: St. Frances Cabrini defeated St. Francis Borgia 25-18, 25-15, 25-17 to claim third place. St. Mary-Menomonee Fall (A) outscored their school’s (B) team 25-11, 25-12, 12-15 for fourth place honors. St. Kilian handled St. Mary in the seventh place match, 25-2, 25-13, 25-5.

In the eighth grade final, Holy Angels-White squeaked past Holy Angels-Blue 25-20 in the first game before taking control in the second game 25-17 to seal the victory. White came back to take the third game 25-23. St. Paul took home third place honors with a comeback win over Cabrini, 25-16, 11-25, 25-19. St. John defeated St. Katharine Drexel 25-11, 25-20, 11-25 to claim fourth place. St. Francis Borgia and St. Mary-West Bend battled for seventh place in the closest match of the day with St. Francis Borgia coming out on top 23-25, 29-28, 25-21.
