The Three Year Old Kindergarten (K3) Program at Holy Angels School provides a wonderful experience for children that combines fun and learning in a group setting. Holy Angels School offers this excellent K3 program in the fine tradition of providing a learning environment in which your child’s interests will be nurtured and stimulated. We feel that it is important to help develop a love for discovery and learning at this special time in your child’s growth. We also provide opportunities for children to begin developing the social skills which are so necessary in becoming an active member of a learning and growing community. We hope that you and your child will enjoy the start of a journey that will open a world of wonder and awe in God’s presence.

Play
As children play, they are engaged in learning and developing. Play, as adults term it, is really work for children. Although children are probably not aware of it, practically everything they do in the course of a class has a sound developmental objective.
    ● As they engage in dramatic play in the house area, they are gaining information about homes and families. Such material forms a major part of the subject matter in beginning reading.
    ● As they draw, paint, or work in clay, they are developing the use of arm and hand muscles used later in handwriting.
    ● As they construct homes and buildings within the room, they are learning to consider size, shape, proportion, and number which leads to an understanding of mathematical concepts.

Our program is designed to provide the materials, environment, guidance, and experiences that will build on your child’s skills, strengthen your child’s weaknesses, and develop basic concepts. The program generates a sense of accomplishment, pleasure, and feeling of belonging.
